Been a while blog, but we’ve been busy. Lots of stuff happening.
We went out to Easthampton MA and shot that spot for Off the Map Tattoo. That was a good time. It really is a great little town.
Motorist actually stop their cars for pedestrians. That was a little hard to get used to. I held up traffic for 2 solid minutes because I was standing on the shoulder of the street and texting.
Despite the cataclysmic raining and thick fog we actually got some really good looking shots. Just waiting on some music and copy right now, so that should be out in a couple of weeks.
We also had a couple of great meetings with some wedding clients. We’re filling up pretty quickly for the late summer/fall so if you’re reading this and on the fence, get ta’ bookin’!

Also, we’ve been working on a cool little web series for a local business. Once that gets posted to their site I will have more info on it. Funny stuff.
Okay, so just a quick update. More to come.

Tattoos and Baseball, Living Together. Mass Hysteria

Put it in the books. We’ll be out at Off The Map Tattoo (www.offthemaptatoo.com) on May 8th to spend the day shooting a spot for the shop.
It’s a great shop located in the mountains of Massachusetts in a really cool little town. It should be a good time.
Also, looks as if we’re going to be doing some kind of promo work for The NYCBL ballclub The Mohawks. We’re all about supporting our small hometoown friends and we love beer and baseball so this shouldn’t be a bad time for anyone.

Too tired to keep it up, just a quick update…must sleep…..

Been working a lot latley on The Paradise Gathering trailers (www.tattoogathering.com).

The artist retreat is coming up in September and we are pushing to have a product out for mass consumption by that date. Also, hoping to get up to Off The Map (http://www.offthemaptattoo.com/) to shoot a commercial in a few weeks. Busy Busy Busy.

I realized that I’ve been negelecting this blog, as well as our youtube page so I just had to drop in for a status update.

I’ve been so busy that I just realized that I’ve been neglecting the blog… I have failed you.
The last few days I’ve been working on the Gathering’s trailer animation and a new commercial for a local web commercial for a local printing company. It should be a funny little spot when it’s completed.
So I take a break from the After Effects time line for a couple of minutes and wander over to yahoo news to see whats going on with the world (this pastie editor usually has no idea whats going on in the world outside of the Adobe Premiere window).
I read the following line:
“3D TVs are starting to arrive in stores,”

What? Really?
I mean, I knew that this was happening but REALLY? 3D?
We are clearly living in the Star Wars Universe now and we (I in particular) need to come to terms with it.

So how long until the first client asks about 3D distribution? How long until we have to have a box of 3D glasses to package with our final products?
And then how long until we move past the 3D and have flat out holographic home entertainment technology?
Help us Obi-Wan.
I mean, we just started blu-ray authoring.

Back to the timeline I guess.

We had a really nice client meeting today with a great couple whose wedding we will be covering in the fall.
Seems crazy that we’re booking for fall and spring is just getting under way, but that goes to show you guys…book now!
The church and reception spot are going to look really great on film. We’re going to KILL this one!
We made a couple of jokes with them about us getting emotional during the ceremony portion of the shoots. Chris cries like a little girl with a skinned knee every time. Loudly. In fact, its hard to cut around his uncontrollable sobs.
But seriously, we were talking about how crazy that moment is, as soon as the officiant begins the vows and the couple knows that they are only seconds away from kiss. The room goes still. The tears well up. It gets real sirs.
Its nice to be able to say that our job is to immortalize that moment and its great to see the bride wipe the tears out of her eyes as she relives that moment again when viewing the DVD for the first time.
It may be a little premature to say, but congratulations Cole and Chrissy and we can’t wait to see you cry this fall (in the best way).

The Gathering trailer being hacked up now

Back in the lab today working on a teaser trailer for the Paradise Gathering disc.
The Gathering was a massive 4 day tattoo and arts festival held back in September at the Jimminey Peak resort out in Hancock MA.
It was a great vibe out there. Lots of awesome people and some of the best tattoo artists in the world all in one place.
So we’ve been working on this 100 hours of footage for a few months and now we are down to the trailers.

So the website is up and running now and we are really excited to finally have it all squared away. The guys at Domozych Media (www.domozychmedia.com) did a great job on the new site’s layout. Its functional, clean and orange as the flames of hell.
